Kindergarten Enrichment Programs
Kindergarten Academic Adventures
        Stimulating hands on enrichment class that encompasses art, literacy, science, math and other exciting activities.
 
        Weekly themes place emphasis on critical thinking and problem solving skills (i.e. going on a math scavenger hunt, creating a               bubbling volcano or graphing with candy)
Kindergarten Artsmart – Find your inner artist!
        Developing perceptual abilities, awareness of colors, shapes, forms, lines and textures
 
        Practicing and gaining fine motor control, strengthening eye-hand coordination

 
        Problem solving – making decisions and choices

 
        Social skills and expressing feelings and emotions in a safe way

Kindergarten Cooking – Cook, eat and learn with us!
        Reading recipes, measuring, following directions and using kitchen tools

Preschool Classes By Age Group
YOUNG TWO YEAR OLD CLASSES
 
This class is designed for children who are eighteen months old by September 1, 2015. This group attends Preschool from 9:00 – 11:30. Classes are offered on Mon/Wed/Fri, Mon/Wed, Tues/Thurs OR Friday. Each classroom has 6 children with a teacher and a floating aide.
 
TWO YEAR OLD CLASSES
 
This class is designed for children who are two years old by September 1, 2015. This group attends Preschool from 9:00 – 11:30. Classes are offered on Mon/Wed/Fri, Mon/Wed, Tues/Thurs OR Friday. Each classroom has 8 children with a teacher and a floating aide.

        Designed for children who are two years old by September 1, 2014.
 
        This age group attends Preschool from 9:00 - 11:30 am. 
 
        Classes are offered on Mon/Wed/Fri, Mon/Wed, Tues/Thurs OR Friday. 
 
        Each classroom has 8 children with a teacher and a floating aide.
 
        Our objective is that each child will be able to accomplish the following tasks during the course of the year:
 
               - follow simple directions
               - imitate play of others
               - listen to simple stories and songs
               - repeat parts of songs, rhymes, and finger plays
               - verbalize wants
               - help put things away in the classroom
 
        Our classes exposes children to crayons, paint & paint brushes, scissors, and markers.
  
        As with all of our classes, we stress the importance of learning and practicing social skills.

 
THREE YEAR OLD  CLASSES

THREE’S students must be three years old by September 1, 2015, in order to enroll for this class. In addition, all students MUST be potty trained by the time school begins. Classes run from 9:00 – 11:30 on Mon/Wed/Fri OR Tues/Thurs. Each classroom has 17 children enrolled with 2 teachers.
 
        Designed for children who are three years old by September 1, 2014.
 
        All students MUST be potty trained by the time school begins.
 
        Three different class schedules are offered:
 
               - Mon/Wed/Fri AM from 9:00-11:30 AM
               - Mon/Wed/Fri PM from 12:30-3:00 PM
               - Tues/Thurs from 9:00-11:30 AM
 
        Each classroom has 16-17 children with two teachers.
 
        Our objective is that each child will be able to accomplish the following tasks during the course of the year:
 
               - follow one or two step directions
               - work together - gearing toward cooperative play ( three or more children )
               - listen to stories and songs
               - repeat parts of songs, rhymes, and finger plays
               - sit in a group
               - use eye contact
               - use words to express feelings to teachers and classmates
               - share
               - dress self for outdoor play
 
        We introduce the child to the proper way of holding a pencil, crayons, paint brush, scissors and other tools.
 
        We do not expect mastery, but we do encourage the proper handling of these tools.
 
        As with all of our classes, we stress the importance of learning and practicing social skills.
 
 
PRE-FOUR'S CLASSES

PRE-FOUR’S class is offered Mon/Wed/Fri OR Tues/Thurs from 9:00-11:30. Students must be three years old by September 1, 2015 and turn four in the fall/early winter along with teacher recommendation. This classroom has 8-10 children enrolled with a teacher and a floating aide.

        Designed for children who are three years old by September 1, 2014, will turn four in the fall/early winter, and with teacher
        recommendation.

        All students MUST be potty trained by the time school begins.


        Two different class schedules are offered:

                - Mon/Wed/Fri AM from 9:00-11:30 AM
                - Tues/Thurs from 9:00-11:30 AM

        Each classroom has 8-10 children with a teacher and a floating aide.

        The best part of this class is having fun while we accomplish the following goals:

               - independent living skills - such as pouring, sweeping, and dressing self for outdoors
               - social skills
               - vocabulary
               - cooperation
               - forms of negotiation

        In preparation for the 4's program we include:

               - problem solving
               - following multi-step directions
               - pre-reading activities
               - word recognition
               - pre-math activities
               - pre-writing activities

FOUR YEAR OLD CLASS

FOUR DAY FOUR’S students must be four years old by September 1, 2015, in order to enroll for this class. Classes run from 9:00 – 11:30 on Mon-Tues-Wed-Thurs.   Each classroom has 16-20 children enrolled with 2 or 3 teachers.

        Designed for children who are four years old by September 1, 2014.

        All students MUST be potty trained by the time school begins.

        Two different "Four Day Fours" class schedules are offered:

               - 9:00 – 11:30 on Mon-Tues-Wed-Thurs
               - 12:30 – 3:00 on Mon-Tues-Wed-Thurs

        Each classroom has 16-20 children with two to three teachers.

        Our objective is that each child will be able to accomplish the following tasks during the course of the year:

               - follow two or three step directions
               - work together - gearing toward cooperative play ( three or more children )
               - use self control
               - develop responsibility
               - use eye contact
               - converse with teachers and classmates
               - share
               - dress self for outdoor play

        At this level, we introduce pre-kindergarten skills, such as:

               - the proper way of holding a pencil, crayons, paint brush, scissors and other tools
               - pre-math skills
               - pre-reading skills
               - listening skills
               - name, number, and letter recognition are integrated into the above activities

        As with all of our classes, we stress the importance of learning and practicing social skills.

PRE-KINDERGARTEN CLASS

PRE-KINDERGARTEN class is designed for children who are also four years of age and turning five in the fall/early winter along with teacher recommendation. Class runs from 9:00 – 11:30 Monday through Friday. The classroom has 16-20 children enrolled with 2 or 3 teachers.

        Designed for children who are four years of age and turning five in the fall/early winter of 2014 along with teacher                                 recommendation.

        Class runs from 9:00-11:30 AM Monday - Friday or 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm Monday - Friday.

        Each classroom has 16-20 children with two to three teachers.
        

        Our objective is that each child will be able to accomplish the following:

               - work together in cooperative play ( three or more children )
               - use self control
               - develop responsibility
               - use eye contact
               - converse with teachers and classmates
               - listen to stories and songs
               - repeat parts of songs, rhymes & finger plays
               - dress self for outdoor play

        Pre-kindergarten skills are integrated into the above activities:

               - use of scissors
               - pre-math skills
               - pre-reading skills
               - listening skills
               - self expression
               - name, number, and letter recognition are integrated into the above activities

        As with all of our classes, we stress the importance of learning and practicing social skills.
